I first met Johnathan Little on US Route 95, about 25 miles due north of Pahrump, NV. He’d been walking since he left Oklahoma one day a while back. #vanlife gets a lot of love on Instagram, but Johnathan joined the #walkinglife to regain his self-respect and lose some weight, and he seems on a path to do both.
This photo was from the second time I met him, on my way back from Beatty, NV. The sky to the north behind Johnathan looks clear, but The Best In the Desert Pahrump Nugget 250 race had filled the sky to the west of him with sand clouds rising high in the sky. Everything is a golden red because of the low morning sun in the east and the sand in the west.
