Arlington East

The above photo and some others were forwarded to me by a friend. The body of the email included:

A few friends of mine participated in this event on Saturday. There wasn’t a lot of media coverage, but NPR and the CCT.

The photos show 2700 markers representing American dead in the Iraq war, and 200 markers representing just a small percentage of the approximately 600,000 Iraqi dead from a memorial held on Cape Cod on October 14th, 2006.

The Arlington East blog includes reprints of the Cape Code Times story and NPR piece about the memorial.

Tom Turco has posted a number of other photos of the memorial at Cape Code Peace and Justice.org
