I love the engineering of the lift fan on this pedal powered hovercraft. It needs a little more lift to make really work, but wow.
Elsewhere, this grunt-powered hydrofoil looks like a lot of fun (it starts slow, skip in a bit):

I’m not certian the “leaning backward” position is the best way to pedal, and it looks like they have slight difficulty with that in the video, but they still did a pretty good job!
Nice way to make the seat, too!
