Sarah in Jane Magazine

Now that we’ve forgotten how deep the collected sludge on the bottom of our cultural barrel is since Fox appears to have given up dredging it for entertainment like Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire? and The Littlest Groom, Jane Magazine (subscribe) has stepped up to explore what remains. The Huffington Post’s Eat The Press blog recently reported a story titled “Girl, You’ll Be A Woman Soon: The Quest To Deflower Jane‘s 29-Year Old Virgin

It’s true: Jane Magazine is running a full-on multi-media campaign to help their newest editorial flower, the above-mentioned 29-year old Sarah, lose her virginity by her 30th birthday. Sarah, a comedienne living in New York City, can’t seem to find a guy with the right kind of funnybone, if you know what we mean. (Sorry, but there is no way we will get through this item without puns.) According to legend and her brand-new blog, Sarah approached her “all-time favorite magazine” to see if they could help her find Mr. Right, or at least Mr. Not Some Horny Drunk Jackass Left Over When The Bar Closes. Sarah is cute, smart, funny — you’d think it wouldn’t be so hard (see, we told you there’d be puns. Lie back and enjoy them.) And yet, it was, so she and Jane hatched a plan to correct the problem (best-laid plans, indeed!).

But, golly, there’s a lot more. This doesn’t make Jane a newsmagazine, does it?
