Last weekend, I pitched in to help my friend Tami at her beautiful B&B. She needed a well deserved break, so my husband and I took over for the weekend. It was fun to cook breakfast for strangers and I always love playing in a different kitchen. Tam, a pastry chef extraordinaire, left beautiful sweets and a quiche. My crowning achievements were these wonderful little potato cakes I stole from Martha Stewart’s mag years ago. They are easy and delicious and have become a brunch standby. The guests were smiling and lingered at the table. I’ll take that as a compliment.
