I keep having ddreams of spiders chasing me what does that mean?

I KEEP HAVING A DREAM THAT MY DAD DIED,DOES THIS MEAN HE WILL DIE SOON?

I have been married for 6 years and me and my husband seperated for about 1.5 yrs i ended up getting pregnant for the first time by someone that i dont love and it was a one night stand. Me and my husband are back togather and going to raise the baby togather . Lately this guy have been poppong up in my dreams. Nothing sexual don’t even remember much conversation. What’s up with that?

I see my father once a month or so and i love going to see him and my step brothers but just lately ive been dreaming about my father and its really upsetting me ALOT.

I dream that im having sexual intercourse with him and that im enjoying it, then when i wake up i hate myself, i dont know what to do i hate the feeling its giving me. whats even worse is that its stopping me going to see my father and brothers because i just cant seem to look him in the face knowing that im dreaming about having sex with him.

Please someone, explain to me why im dreaming these things and how to stop it, its destoying my relationship with my father and ruining my closeness with my brothers…. my family is being torn apart.

Well, I just graduated from highschool but I took psychology. In the class we learned about the Electra Complex where girls want to kill their mothers to be with their father. Last night i dreamt i was in a secluded part of Greece that nobody else apart from a load of us that were stranded there. It was very grey and here was nothing but dirty sea and a strange building where we all had to go to be examined. Then we were all put on thisboat, but not sure where we were been taken. There were four cats sitting on the left to our seats, facing each other. One of them was wearing a white coat and spoke Greek.

Not sure if this was part of the same dream but we had to escape from an aeroplane.Not sure what or who we were escaping from. We had to hold tightly onto the wing and were very scared.

i had a dream with 2 of my ex’s, both are fathers of my children, one relationship was 4 years the other 7 years, had a dream they both were in the hosp. my ex of 7 years (which we recently broke up) had staples on his head and stomach from a car accident he had and the other ex was just there for blood work (he and i are on bad terms and he doesnt see the kids because he doesnt want to) i went to the hosp to see them both but i left with the one who i recently broke up with (been with him for 7 years)

i keep having strange dreams that are really unreal and confusing. Things repeating from the past. I had this dream where I had a demon inside of me and so my mom got a priest over to do an exorcism, but he didnt help, so my mom touched my forehead with holy water like the priest and she saw them demon, it talked to her. It was the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen. She got it out, but I don’t know if that important. And in the same dream, my friends and I were at some party in the middle of nowhere, and so it was at like a barn place, and me and my friend found tractors, and so we didnt know how to drive them we kind of knocked down some buildings and well we wished it would be fixed, and of course sence its a dream it did, but we also wished that know one saw what happend. We put the tractors away and we came out and people were pissed, they found objects, and just started to beat us. We turned into ghost and the worst thing that I could ever see happen to my friends, well ours cause my friend was a ghost too, and well dur we know the same people, but anyways we saw them get murdered diffrent ways and it was so depressing to watch, but as sick as this sounds, I really didnt want to wake up, even with the demom inside of me.

i cant remeber most of it, i met 3 girls on a night out.i dint kiss any off them just one of them(i think). but it was the girl i know(in real life)and in real life im from england but she lives in america. we met last year when we was on holiday. we didnt kiss or anything. just got along so well and i still really miss her as i kinda got to really like her. she also told me she really missed me.

I recently just had a dream of my current boyfriend and ex-boyfriend getting together and discussing which one I should be with in the end. Emma your not the only one. Everytime I dream it’s about my dead mom and, It is sexual too! I wake up saying what the heck!! It is so embarrasing. I am trying to figure out what that means. My name is Iain. I am 14, male,australian and i have no religion (atheist).

I recently observed a dream in which i was with several people including my mother and sister, when i recieved information that i had got a girl pregnant. Because it was a dream i did not need justification and do not even remember the source of this revelation. My most vivid memory of this section of the dream is the sheer terror and shock it instilled in me as i wondered what i would do and if the girl was alright, and i can only think that this would be my reaction in real life.

The most astounding quality is the reality of this dream in that it is not something i have experienced before (elaborated on later). Indeed i have not even had the chance to procure a child and though the thought has not escaped me i did not think that a desire to have children would confront me so young.

Proggressing further into the dream i have informed my sister and several others, unintentionaly of the misdemeanour i face.
Soon the girl arrives and i meet her, with feelings such as that she is an old friend that something happened with and we became apart (possibly a result of DIM further elaborated on later). It is in this part of the dream that the thing that confounds me the most appears. This is that i recognise several features i admire in a girl yet cannot identify the actual identity of her as i see not a face, nor recognise a voice or any such identifiable trait. This is not to say that i saw a blacked out face, i merely do not remember or recognise her as if she is somone i do not know yet.

I greet the girl and at this point my infatuation with her begins. We disscuss what we will do and decide that we will keep the baby. To me she seems calm,innocent and extremely beautifall, from which i admire her and are fascinated by the situation. To me this is the way that i would react were i put in this situation, but i know not and probably never will. After this we talk, and it is then that i establish some elements in her that i can recognise from several girls i have taken previous interest in, though not always in the same person. These are that she is fairly smaller than me (as is common at my age when you are five foot 7) and i seem protective (a reaction common to males as a product of evolution), and that she takes interest in my intellect.

To fully understand the reasons for my confusion you must understand what sleep and dreams are and their close relation.

Sleep is when the brain rests itself and stores and collates the information of the period of wakefullness. During sleep the resting of different parts of the brain occurs in cycles, which when established in two main groups are Rapid Eye Movement sleep (REM) and Non Rapid Eye Movement sleep (non-REM).

Once the brain begins to enter a state of sleep it begins a pattern of proggression and reccession identifiable by the brain waves emitted. This proccess, which is common to every human being not suffering from a sleep dissorder like insomnia, and takes an average time of eight hours (also the reccomended duration of sleep, as will be explained later). To begin with the brain remains in a state of semi-wakefullness which then drops into the deepest sleeping period of the night. This is about an hour after the beginning of sleep and is identified by the slow elongated brainwaves asscosciated with non REM sleep. This period continues for about another hour before the more interesting part of the night begins.

Rapid Eye Movement sleep is common to all mammals and does not need to be identified with complex brain wave measuring machines. REM sleep can be seen by any observer looking closley at the eyes of the sleeper as a flutering eyelid called eye spasm, where the eye muscles are relaxed through quick tightening and lossening. REM is the period of sleep where dreams occur and is also the time when the brain files the experiences of the day. This reading and filing is the cause of dreams, because experiences which you have had as well as thoughts are displayed in dreams though ovcourse mixed up and changed so as it will only have subjective relation to reality in wakefullness .One other affect of REM sleep on the body is that it is completely parylised during it, this can be seen to be a result of base evolution where the caveman that did not physically act out his dream of hunting an animal and fall off a cliff as a result, survived to pass on his genes to his children. Where this man survived the cavemen that did act out dreams would not survive to pass on their genes of doing such.

This bassically explains the topic of forum (what dreams are) but it is your choice really, as to what they mean.

From the first period of reccesion from wakefullness to non REM sleep a cycle of Rem and Non REM begins in which four periods of REM are observed through eratic brain activity, or short sharp electrical pulses (brain waves). This situation presents another interesting product of sleeping in which a possible number of four dreams can occur. This can then be the cause of dream imersion memory or DIM. DIM is where during a dream one can seem to remember something happening in a previous time or after being awoken, as remembering dreaming a related thing though not being sure of the actuall time in which it occured.

None of this is to say that the dream was not an emotionally concerned one i am merely trying to establish the reasons behind it and help some others at the same time.

Now that i have established this i tell you that even looking past the vivid realism and emotional aspects of my dream, i find it very confusing that from a few emotions and related experiences my brain has been able concoct a situation of which i have had no thought to as well as creating a object of my infatuation to whose identity i still struggle to comprehend and collected all this into a plot that is recogniseable as that of an episode of a tv drama.

Thus the only conclusion i can draw is that there is yet more to be discovered about sleep and dreams. I can only sujest to aspiring researchers and scientists that possibly dreaming can also create new experiences reflectable into wakefull reality.

I would appreciate any reflection or resposne on my rambling, as my reason for posting this is that i do need advice nommater whether you comprehend the scientific relations of my dream or if you would like to send base response on what you think the dream acctually means. One further fact i can direct to the readers of this site is that the feeling we as humans feel towords anonymous individuals that inherit traits we look for in our partner prefernces, as well as multiple infatuations with varying individuals is known as type A love. Type A love is a resulting of evolutionary gene inheritence (where those who look for relationships more often procure children and so pass on their genes to these).

i had a terrible dream last night! My kids and I couldn’t fall asleep, it was about 3:00-3:30 am before I fell asleep. Hey i had a dream of a women i don’ know who she was and she had a baby premature baby. and in my dream after she has her baby i take and next thing i know i am riding horse. 3 of us are riding and i am holding the baby and the baby starts talking to me saying tell them everything is ok and not to be made at her or angry anymore cause i am ok.and when are ride is done i get to my house i go inside to check on the baby and the baby was no longer alive. and i knew it was premature by the way it looked.
