Travel information

Conditions of carriage and fare regulations:

You may check all relevant regulations regarding your flight at any Afriqiyah Airways office or General Sales Agent. Incomplete travel documents or non compliance with entry and /or exit regulations could result in unpleasant consequences, like exclusion from a flight, refusal 

of entry , fines,etc.we recommend a through consultation with the embassies or consulates of the countries involved.

 

Non-smoking flights:

 

All Afriqiyah Airways flights are non-smoking flights .In case of non compliance, Afriqiyah Airways reserves the right to impose sanctions 

and to claim compensation for consequential damages.

 

Transit Visa: 

 

On prior arrangement a Seventy-two hour transit visa may be obtained at Tripoli airport by Afriqiyah Airways passenger from various countries with confirmed onward reservation. Please consult any Afriqiyah Airways office or General Sales Agent for further details.

Confirmation:

Please confirm your reservation at the latest 72 hours prior to departure time.

 

Schedules:

 

All times indicated in the time table are local times, subject to change without prior notice. Always check the times and flight availability with 

any Afriqiyah Airways office or General Sales Agent.

 

Check â€“in times:

 

To complete departure and security procedures at airport, please check in at least1hour 30 minutes prior to departure.

 

Free baggage allowance:

 

- The baggage allowance in business class is 40 Kg (88 lbs); in Economy class 30 Kg (66 lbs) per passenger.

- The maximum weight of any single piece of baggage is 32 Kg (70,4 lbs).

- Infants under two years of age without a seat traveling in the company of an adult passenger in any class have a baggage allowance of 

10 Kg (22 lbs).

 

Check â€“in baggage procedure:

 

Please indicate your final destination when checking in and ensure that baggage is tagged correctly to avoid possible delay or loss.

 

Carry-on baggage:

 

You may carry light items for use on board during the journey including a laptop or hand bag. Carry-on baggage must not exceed the total dimensions of 115 cm.handles and wheels shall not exceed 55 cmx40 cmx20 cm. The total weight of all carry-on baggage items 

must not exceed 8 Kg (17,6 lbs

 

Excess baggage:

 

Please check with any Afriqiyah Airways office or General Sales Agent for conditions and rules of excess baggage.

 

Prohibited items:

For safety reasons all sharp or pointed items are prohibited in passengers carry-on baggage. Increasing numbers of such items are confiscated at airport security check-point. 

These items are not returned to their owners. Items like scissors or nail cutters must be packed inside the checked baggage:

Aerosol cans, traditional weapons, toy or replica guns, tools, cutters,etc.,are prohibited items.

The list of prohibited items includes compresses gas containers, corrosives, oxidizing agents, toxins, magnetic or radioactive material.

Perishable items are prohibited inside your baggage and are at risk of being destroyed at airports.

Unaccompanied minors:

On prior arrangement, children over 5 years of age can travel unaccompanied; they will receive special attention from Afriqiyah Airways
