And is there such thing as "objectionable" material that can *not* be for research? I'm no librarian, but I've been in the academy a long enough time to know that I agree with you Casey. There has always been a struggle by people to control how/what others learn, thankfully I don't think that this is the case here... at least not consciously I think here we someone trying to make sure the computers are put to good use, but is unable to figure out how to define what good use is.
