This is perhaps the worst piece of software ever developed. When submitting files for the ridiculously cumbersome uploading process, there are checkboxes displayed. However, the checkboxes act like radio buttons, and you have to select a single file at a time for the upload queue. This is compounded by the software being dreadfully slow and inefficient.

Then, once in the queue to be submitted, there are more problems. The queue also has check boxes, but at least you can select more than one at a time. However, if the queue fills more than one page (by default, each queue page holds 10 files, never more than 50 - NO SCROLLING), you can only upload a single page of the queue. It then clears the queue and you have to re-select all the other files one at a time an build a new queue. Ridiculous. Sites that should load in 10 seconds and 4 mouse clicks instead take about 5 or 6 hours and 25,000 - 30,000 mouse clicks.

If you insert an e-mail box onto a template, it cannot generate a mailto link.

Finally, SCT CMS generates absolute garbage code. It fails even the lowest levels of validation, and is incapable of generating ADA compliant code. Thus, it is not at all suitable for any government installations nor any installation that desires W3C compliance.

Wow. That was some quick reaction.

Trust me, you'll see a lot more about CMS here over the next few weeks (months), and open source solutions are being considered right along side commercial options.

Great review, but why not consider some of the many open source options?
