About Casey

self portrait at the AlamoHi! I’m Casey. I’m an Information Architect and Web Application Developer at Plymouth State University, where I developed Scriblio, a WordPress plugin that turns a blog into a library catalog. I’m also the chief bug creator behind bSuite, another WordPress plugin that’s mostly for stats tracking, but also a lot more.

In addition to a lot of the posts here, I also wrote Open Source Software for Libraries, which is where the following official-ish, capsul-ish biography comes from:

Casey Bisson, named among Library Journal’s Movers & Shakers for 2007 and recipient of a 2006 Mellon Award for Technology Collaboration for developing Scriblio (formerly WPopac), is an information architect at Plymouth State University. He is a frequent presenter at library and technology conferences and blogs about his passion for libraries, roadside oddities, and hiking in New Hampshire’s White Mountains at MaisonBisson.com.

My work at Plymouth isn’t limited to libraries, however, it’s just that libraries are easier to write about (along with whatever else has my interest for the moment). I tried to start an identity management blog, but you can see that’s gone nowhere.

I like projects and contract work (my friends do too), contact me.

Where I’ve been since I started using Dopplr (mostly):
